Temporary Confinement and ADC

HYDROCOVERING confines and reduces the DISPERSION of CONTAMINANTS over the air or via subterranean ways on Waste-Dumps (SSP – ISDND – ISDD) as an alternative to traditional tarping.

Hydrocovering – on the contrary to Hydroseeding and Hydromulching – isn’t used to establish vegetation.

Hydrocovering allows to apply massively, under a liquid form and on-site a compound that transforms into a “temporary tarp”. The recipe of this Hydrocover “tarp’ can be permeable or impermeable depending on the expected functionality and the forecasted duration of the confinement.

In certain cases, the Hydrocover can be enhanced with specific ‘phytostabilizing vegetal species’ that can help to fix residual pollution inside a pre-determined area.

Temporary Confinement of contaminated or polluted material, in order to allow its transport, treatment or storage. Confinement cuts off the ways of transfer and limits sanitary risks.

Benefit of Hydrocovering by EURO-COVER « SP » & « EC » : The application is done by projection from a distance, over the whole area and its contours WITHOUT the risk of being blown away, shifting or washing away. Does not create extra waste after at the end-of-life.

Benefit of Hydrocovering by EURO-COVER « LF – Landfill » : A quick application that does not require important human resources. Blocks litter against wind gusts, helps control smell. Allows waste cell optimization with up to 20% average, compared to the daily application of dirt.

Reduction over time of the mobility and the spreading into the environment of pollutants. This in the framework of phytostabilization operations using Hydromulching on Polluted Soil Sites.

Example : Polluted sites and soils, or residual pollution after a decontamination operation.

Benefit of Hydromulching : allows the application and implantation of grass based mixes with vascular species. At the same time a confinement matrix for polluted soil is applied in the same application without previous soil labour. The spread or run-off of contaminated dust, ions, or particles through wind, rain or fauna (bioturbation) is limited.
